One of my favorite bits about this piece is the holographic “pixelated” sections, which when combined with the exceptional base, very deftly tells you all you need to know about the illusory nature of the character.Īnd speaking of that base! The EDITH drone, the green illuminated mist, the pixels and the tombstone… Everything just comes together in a way that makes this worth the price of admission, steep as it may be.

The cracked open and melted helmet, revealing a decayed corpse underneath, just looks so chilling and lifelike that its a little off-putting staring at these promotional photos. If the paint job on the factory release is anything like this prototype, then collectors are in for a real treat.
There’s something perfect about the Iron Man character dying in the films and Hot Toys just chugging along, still finding a way to make a new Iron Man figure, and a dead variant Iron Man figure at that!Īnyhow, this thing looks horrifyingly good! The damaged and decrepit details on the armor are so impressive.
